Hello everyone. Today I closed an exceptionally long, challenging, and important chapter of my life.

High school is a crucial part of life. The experiences we have, challenges we face, people we meet, and decisions we make during these 4 years can have the potential to affect the trajectory of our entire lives. Thankfully, I have made it through all of this without losing my mind or going insane (or so I believe).

Did I always do everything smoothly? No. There were tears of frustration, skull-shattering headaches, anxiety, and overwhelming workloads at times. There were many days where I just didn’t feel like getting out of bed. I fell asleep in 5th period. I *almost* failed chemistry. I started a five paragraph essay two days before the due date.

High school wasn’t always nice to me, but nevertheless I am thankful for all the good things that came out of it, such as friends, learning more about myself, and the important life skills I have learned and developed during these times.

By the grace of God I finished strong and still have the mental capability to write this post, and it’s super exciting! In a way, it’s also a little sad to think that I am leaving something that played such a huge role in my day to day life behind me.

However, with the closing of this chapter I now get to look forward to starting my next one.

It’s super cool to think that I’m this close to launching on this gap year!! It’s amazing to me just how blessed I am to have come across this opportunity, and how God continues to bless me on this journey with connections and supporters even when I feel so undeserving.

Also… I have made it to well over $3,000 in financial support! Thanks for being so generous everybody! I will continue to reach out and connect with more people over this, whether friends, family, and church members.

As of right now I have been praying that I can soon get 25 people to each support me with $25 per month in donations, that way I can be close to being fully funded! Another huge thank you to all of you who have been supporting me with donations and prayer, honestly I really can’t express my thankfulness for all this love and encouragement. It gives me so much confidence and shows me just how much God is working in this!

Until next time,

Micah
