God’s Work

What’s up everyone, I hope you’re all having a good day.

A lot has been happening for me this past week. My family and I are currently on a month long RV vacation that started exactly a week from today, and so far it’s been an exciting and moving experience for all of us. We’re seeing some of the most beautiful places in North America and reflecting on God’s awesomeness through all of it! This vacation is also meaningful to me considering that I’m getting to spend this month of deep quality time with the family for my last full month before I leave for the World Race. 46 days and counting! This is extremely exciting yet nerve-wracking as I’ll be away from home for NINE MONTHS! However, I’m confident that this is where God wants me to be and that this will all be worth it! Last week I sent out support raising letters to family and friends to inform them of what next year holds for me as well as invite them to support me along the way. As it turns out, July 8th marked my deadline for $6,000 total in fundraising progress. Unfortunately, I still had around $920 left to raise to reach $6,000 and I was feeling a bit worried. I sent out my support raising letters and prayed that God would use them to move people to support me so that I could meet this financial deadline. By then a good amount of family and friends had received their letter, and on July 9th I far passed $6,000 in total support! I was shocked, as the chances of raising $920 in just a week seemed slim to me. It was amazing to me to see how God used my letters and supporters to bring this together and actually end up exceeding the amount I needed! Seeing God meet my needs in this direct manner also served as a reminder that I can trust that he will see me through as I go about this gap year and that this is all in his control.

As my launch date is now only 46 days away, there are some things I have been praying about that I would like to invite you to join me in prayer over.

-Pray for my mental clarity as I continue preparing for this trip, as there are some aspects of this that can be confusing and challenging to navigate (such as vaccines, last minute necessities, fundraising, etc.)

-Pray that I will reach my goal of having at least 25 people supporting me with $25 per month, and that I will successfully reach the other fundraising deadlines.

-Pray for my persistence to continue in spiritual engagement as continue working through support raising, as well as dealing with personal struggles and distractions.
